No. But it is similar in concept. Traditional VPNs allow working with LAN resources from outside the LAN. HttpVPN allows working with web applications hosted inside LANs from outside, without having to place the web apps into DMZ, w/o requiring special client software or any other heavy-lifting security work. HttpVPN does not require a VPN client of any kind.
