Hello Friends of UltiDev!

I have the latest version of UltiDev Web Server Pro and created an Host to attach my .net4 Application.
So it runs fine, but after I've clicked on the Button to restart the Monitoring-Service, the App doesn't work anymore.
Everytime I want to browse the site i get an "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)"-Error.

Even reinstalling of UltiDev didn't work, so i hope you could hep me with my problem.
Screenshots below:

* The Button i pressed before it broke: http://imageshack.us/pho...images/215/buttondh.jpg
* The error I got if i browse the site: http://imageshack.us/pho...ages/194/localhostx.jpg
* The webapp itself : http://imageshack.us/pho...y-images/850/webapp.jpg

My System is an Win XP Professional x64 with all Updates.

Thanks and best regards!
Markus

Hello, Markus.

Applications not starting in most cases have port conflicts with another running applications or web servers. To check whether this is the case please re-register the application a port different than 80. Also, sometimes when application host processes are recycled, old process fails to release port and pipe resources, and orphaned resources are released within two minutes of recycling. Please see if an application goes online in two minutes after recycling. If neither of the above suggestions help, please consider analyzing or sending us diagnostic info to investigate.

Best regards,
UltiDev Team.

Thanks for the quick Answer.
I've followed the solutions you provided to me, the changing of the port didn't work, but in the Applicationlog I've got the following warning:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: UWS Host UWS.AppHost.Clr4.AnyCPU
Event Category: None
Event ID: 0
Date: 15.02.2012
Time: 09:26:22
User: N/A
Computer: ROLF
Description:
Monitoring service has not communicated for at least 120 seconds. Shutting down host process ""D:\Program Files (x86)\UltiDev\Web Server\UWS.AppHost.Clr4.AnyCPU.exe" 9000b55f-4cab-4292-8c90-81d3d162bb18".

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I've also attached a fiddler-File with diagnosticinfo and the install-log from the program directory.
An interesting fact is, that the USW-Repair-Tool didn't create a logfile, so I added an screenshot of the execution of the repairtool also.

The Password for the zip-File was sent to you via PM

Thanks and best regards

Markus

Hello, Markus.

Unfortunately, we are still unable to reproduce the problem.

We got and saved the diagnostics from the ZIP - thank you much, you can remove it if you wish. From the log entry you have provided we can tell that one of the host processes (the one being retired, and the new one being spawned) - one of them found itself orphaned (with no connection to the monitoring service) and shut itself down.

Could you please do a couple of things:

- On the box in question, please point the browser to http://localhost:7756/ and let us know if you saw UWS diagnostic page.

- Clean up event Windows Event Log if possible, run the failure scenario, export the log as EVTX file, and attach it (as password-protected ZIP) to your response.

Also, may we ask why is necessary to restart UWS after registering the application?

UltiDev Team.
